Wednesday Dinner & Movie Night

Who We Are

City Hope is committed to the ongoing work of creating connection and care for our most marginalized neighbors of the Tenderloin while addressing food insecurity, and we do this work through the commitment of our volunteers and donors.

We welcome individuals, community groups, corporate teams, and schools to serve and learn alongside us.

What We Do

All our meal programs are intentionally designed to be a dignifying experience for our community here in the Tenderloin so we pride ourselves in providing a restaurant-style meal, where we'll seat our guests, say their names, and give them the dignity of choice with our menus.

On Wednesday nights, we host a chill evening by screening a movie while serving a delicious dinner meal to our guests. You will also at some point during the program have the privilege to sit, eat, and talk with our guests.

Note: during volunteer orientation @ 5:30 PM, we'll delegate roles to volunteers: waiting and bussing tables, expediting meals, plating food, and etc.

If you want to bring a minor to volunteer with you:
  • Under 9 years old - Due to insurance and security reasons, we are unable to host volunteers younger than 9 years old
  • Between 9 and 12 years old - They will need a supervising adult volunteer serving alongside them (equaling 1 volunteer)
  • 13 and older - Welcome to come and serve as an independent volunteer
